Showcase of Excellence: A Gallery of Extra-Curricular Achiev

 Our school celebrated Diwali with great joy and excitement! The students enjoyed learning about the significance of the festival and its traditions. We decorated the classrooms with beautiful rangoli designs and colorful diyas. The children also participated in a fun activity where they created their own paper diyas, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness. It was a day filled with creativity, learning, and celebration, as we all came together to share the spirit of Diwali. The festive atmosphere made this celebration truly special for everyone!  

6th October is the most enchanting day in the life of our school students. The Jankipuram branch of LPS planned a one week trip to Chandigarh and Manali for classes IX to XII. The adventure began with the overnight journey. An overnight train journey with friends is every student's dream. After the thrilling train journey students reached Chandigarh and enjoyed a wonderful pool party, grand dinner followed by DJ party at the Royal Park Resort. Then began the expedition to Manali.  Students' eyes glistened upon catching the sight of mountains and valleys. After reaching the hotel and refreshing themselves, the students were taken to the river shore where they captured their fun experiences in the form of photographs which they will cherish for their entire life. The real adventure began with a trek to Hadimba Temple. Then, students were taken to the Mall road in order to collect souvenirs for their precious ones. The next day began with the expedition to Rohtang, the heart of Manali. All the students were thrilled as it was the place where one could experience real Manali, the thing Manali is famous for, SNOW. After gearing up all the students along with their respective group leaders headed to the battlefield and successfully accomplished the mission of joy. Then through the Atal Tunnel students went to Solang valley and enjoyed the tranquility of nature at its best. The students also took a taste of some adventure activities like Zip lining, Paragliding and River Rafting. Returning from the trip, on their last day in Chandigarh, Students were taken to one of the most beautiful and famous public places in India, The Rock Garden.

This trip was more than just a fun experience for the children and also for the teachers. It strengthened the bond between teachers and students. In a nutshell, it was not just a trip it was exploring, learning, and having the best time with the school squad.

 Founder of Lucknow Public School, C P Singh Sir was remembered by everyone on 21 September 2024. Remembrance Day ceremony was preceded with the floral tribute at the Jankipuram branch. All the teachers held a moment of silence and pledged to follow his ideals that moment was both a tribute and a reflection. Although brief, it provides an opportunity for teachers to share the significance of this day. 

 "Let us come together to felicitate our glorious nation and feel proud to be Indian"
 It is a proud moment for everyone as we are approaching the 77th independence day on 15th August 2024. The pre primary section came up with an interesting activity to help the students know more about the significance of the day. A tricolour paper pasting activity was conducted in the class Nursery and K.G. They explained the meaning of the three colours of a flag. students participated in this activity with full zeal and zest. 

 Students of Primary and junior wing of Lucknow Public School, Jankipuram had actively participated in Rakhi Making Activity(best out of waste). The activity was conducted on 17th of August 2024.
Students had learned about the cultural significance of Rakhi and the traditions associated with it, fostering a deeper appreciation for cultural practices.The activity helped students in developing their ability to think creatively by transforming waste materials into decorative Rakhi. Students gained an understanding of recycling and the importance of reducing waste, contributing to a more sustainable environment. 

 Lucknow Public School Jankipuram had conducted colouring the Indian National Flag activity on 14th of August for class 1 on the occasion of Independence Day. Students had learned about the significance of the Indian flag, including its colours, the Ashoka Chakra, and their symbolic meanings. Students also gained insight into the history and values represented by the flag, such as independence, unity, and patriotism. Hence students had developed a greater appreciation for Indian culture and national identity through an engaging and interactive activity. 

 The Quit India Movement, also known as the August Movement, was a significant milestone in India's struggle for independence from British rule. It began on August 8, 1942, when the Indian National Congress, led by Mahatma Gandhi, passed a resolution demanding an end to British rule. On the Day of Quit India Movement students a Special assembly was conducted at Lucknow Public School, Jankipuram. The Assembly was started with Morning Prayer and the pledge was delivered by and the thought of the day was given by Srajan Singh. Assembly was further continued with a Special Speech given by Anshika Shukla and Ashwika from class XII-A and a small Quiz session which was hosted by Vamika Singh from class X-C on Quit India Media. The Assembly was concluded with motivational speech and a few facts shared by Principal Ma'am. 

“Yoga is the journey of the self, to the self, through the self”.

The school organized The International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2024, which is celebrated all over the world. This idea was proposed by our honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. He said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. International Yoga Day was celebrated by the teachers at Lucknow Public School with great enthusiasm. Teachers demonstrated various yoga asanas. Warm up exercises were taken and all the teachers performed sitting and standing asana, importance of these were explained simultaneously by Mr. Praveen Shukla sir. The celebration concluded with a speech by our Principal. She encouraged teachers to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.

 An investiture ceremony in schools is a formal event during which students are bestowed with positions of authority and responsibility.
     With the beginning of the new academic session for the year 2024-25, an investiture ceremony was organized for the students of Primary Wing of Lucknow Public School, Jankipuram Branch on 13th May, 2024.
The newly elected student council members  pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honour and glory of the institution while receiving their prestigious flag, badge and sash from the HeadMistress of our school. The Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice-Head Boy, Vice Head Girl, Sports Captains and House Captains stood tall as destiny prepared itself to bring in many more laurels to the institution.The Head Mistress, Ms. Renu Gautam, motivated the children to keep moving forward despite all the obstacles and challenges that life throws at us.

"Saluting the spirit of freedom"

To celebrate the pride and significance of 78th Independence Day, lucknow Public school, Jankipuram has organised a fancy dress activity for Pre- Primary Classes. Fancy dress activity is a popular activity at school especially for the toddlers and if it is integrated with Independence Day, it works as cherry on top. Tiny tots  dressed up as different freedom fighters. This activity helps children to build their confidence level. They also learnt how to dress up and present themselves in front of an audience. Children enjoyed and learnt a lot also. 

 On India's 78th Independence Day, Lucknow Public School organized a series of events to celebrate the spirit of freedom. The program began with flag hoisting and the national anthem, followed by performances from the junior and primary wings on inspirational songs like "Aarambh Hai Prachand" and "Ik Bagal." Primary students presented a group dance on "Vande Mataram," and there was an elocution on India's freedom. Anvesha and Aakriti from Class XI gave a speech on India's development over 77 years. The program concluded with a group dance by senior students and a motivational speech from the principal, encouraging students to be good citizens. 

"Books are mirrors: You only see in them what you already have inside you." 
The National Librarian’s Day was celebrated on 12th August 2024 on the birth anniversary of Padmashri Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the father of Library Science in India. Jankipuram organized several Library activities on the occasion of national Librarians day such as article writing on the topic “Importance of Libraries in academic institutions”, News and Views, Create Character Profile, Cover Page designing, Book Mark Making Activity for different classes. The competition aims to encourage and expand the innovative and creative thinking among the students through offering them the opportunity to express their unique thoughts. These activities helped children to build confidence and social skills. Students showed their interest and performed all the activities with zeal and zest. 

Van Mahotsav Week is celebrated to raise awareness among individuals regarding the importance of trees and inspire citizens to plant more of them . Nowadays deforestation is an emerging concern and Van Mahotsav Week aims to combat the environmental imbalance caused due to this action .Under this LPS, Jankipuram Students of Primary wing, Junior wing and Senior wing organised a series of activities. Keeping the spirit of Van Mahotsav alive Special assembly, Show and tell activity, Writing Article, Sapling distribution, Logo Designing, PPT making and a Rally with the on-going tree plantation was conducted to educate people and students to save trees and encourage them for the plantation. Van Mahotsav through this initiative became a meaningful and awakening event for all with the clear message that Van Mahotsav is not a day or week of celebration; it's something to carry throughout the journey of life to make it worth living.  

 The Investiture Ceremony at Lucknow Public School, Jankipuram commenced with an inspiring school assembly led by enthusiastic students, brimming with energy and pride. The audience was treated to a slow-stirring performance by the school choir, who melodiously rendered ‘Ik Bagal’ by Piyush Mishra, captivating hearts with their harmonious voices. Following this stage came alive with a mesmerizing yoga dance performance, gracefully choreographed to evoke a sense of tranquility and beauty.Amidst the anticipation, the badge holding ceremony took center stage, symbolizing the transfer of responsibility to deserving students. The Head Boy, renowned for his intellect and creativity, vowed innovative solutions to propel the school forward. Meanwhile, The Head Girl, epitomizing leadership with humility and grace, pledged to foster unity among her peers and actively participate in school events, inspiring others with her dedication.The ceremony reached its climax as the school’s Sports Teacher; Mr. Praveen Sir led all the badge holders in a solemn oath, reaffirming their commitment to their duties and responsibilities. The event concluded with a heartfelt speech given by Principal Ma’am, who filled the room with laughter and joy. She expressed gratitude to the teachers and band students, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the school community.

On the occasion of mother's day Lucknow Public School, Jankipuram branch invited all the Pre-primary to class 2 mothers. Various competitions were organised by the school for example - cooking without fire, mehendi competition, A4 sheet designing and best out of waste.Mothers were welcomed with a badge and classes performed  various songs for them . Students made beautiful cards for their mothers.Mothers participated enthusiastically and won different prizes. Day ended up on a light mode with the refreshments provided to them.

 The International Day of Workers or International Labour Day is observed on May 1 each year to honor workers and laborers worldwide.This year, the tiny tots of Class Nursery to II of Lucknow Public School, sector-F Jankipuram celebrated Labour Day with great enthusiasm.They presented Goodies to encourage and appreciate the hard work put in by them for smooth conduction of Day to day activities  in the school . 

 International Labour Day is celebrated annually on May 1st. This day honors the contributions and achievements of workers worldwide and recognizes their importance in building societies and economies.A special assembly was conducted on the occasion of International Labour Day. Assembly started with morning prayer, the pledge was delivered by Pratishtha Rastogi and the thought of the day was given by Srajan Singh. Assembly was further continued with a Special skit on labour dignity and inspiring  speech presented by Samriddhi Rai. The day was concluded with motivational speech and a few facts shared by Principal Ma'am.

 Badminton is a much-admired sport which requires strength, endurance, as well as mental capabilities leading to self-discipline and a healthy lifestyle. To develop the sportsman spirit and physical fitness of the students an Inter-House Badminton Competition was organised for the senior wing students of four houses of LPS, Jankipuram. Both boys and girls teams from all of the four houses participated in the tournament with full enthusiasm. Dhruv house from the boy’s team won the match while on the other hand Bharat house from the girl’s category won the match. The fun-filled day was a true treat to the eyes of all fans present there.  

 The Table Calendar Making activity took place within the school premises on the 20th of April, centered around the theme 'My Heritage, My Pride.Four students from each house were chosen to participate who demonstrated their creativity with fervor and enthusiasm.

 The day started with Morning Prayer and a beautiful message where students were reminded  to save Mother Earth by doing simple doable actions. Each one of them made a pledge to give effort in our daily life to make this beautiful planet thrive. Students presented a group song on this special day. The assembly ended with the national anthem. 

 Primary wing students of class I, enjoyed vegetable printing activity. The Purpose of the activity was to make students learn about the importance of the gift of our mother earth. They dipped the vegetables like potato, capsicum, lady's finger in water colour and printed those on number one written on a chart paper, at the same time they made faces representing them through vegetable printing. Kids also discussed the importance of eating green vegetables for healthy sense organs and happy life.
